As a Level 2 Network Engineer specializing in Cisco Routing & Switching (R&S) and Cisco Wireless technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our clients' network infrastructures. Proactively monitor network infrastructure using tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.Perform regular health checks, firmware upgrades, and patch management for Cisco R&S and Wireless devices.Ensure network availability, reliability, and performance meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and industry best practices.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
Respond to network-related incidents escalated from Level 1 support teams and troubleshoot issues to resolution.Utilize technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues.Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and root cause analysis for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Change Management:
Assist in the planning, implementation, and documentation of network changes, including configurations, upgrades, and migrations.Follow established change management processes and procedures to minimize disruption to client environments.
Customer Support and Communication:
Provide timely and professional communication to clients regarding incident status updates, resolution timelines, and post-incident reports.Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of escalated issues and customer satisfaction.
Technical Expertise and Knowledge Sharing:
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Cisco R&S and Wireless technologies.Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions, documentation, and mentorship.
