We are seeking a highly skilled and certified CCIE Network Engineer with expertise in Routing & Switching (R&S), Security, and Wireless to join a dynamic team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role demands a thorough understanding of advanced network concepts and hands-on experience with Cisco technologies.Key Responsibilities:Network Design and Implementation:
Design and deploy complex network solutions using Cisco R&S, Security, and Wireless technologies.Develop and implement network architectures that meet business requirements.Perform network upgrades and expansions, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.Network Security:
Implement and manage network security protocols and measures to safeguard sensitive data.Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.Respond to and mitigate security incidents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Wireless Networking:
Design, deploy, and optimize wireless networks for enterprise environments.Troubleshoot and resolve wireless connectivity issues.Implement wireless security measures to protect against unauthorized access.Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Monitor network performance and health, proactively identifying and resolving issues.Perform regular network maintenance tasks, including firmware updates and patch management.Provide Level 3 support for complex network issues, collaborating with other IT teams as necessary.Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including design diagrams, configurations, and procedures.Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.Certifications:
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Routing & Switching, Security, or Wireless (multiple CCIE certifications preferred).Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco technologies.Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise networks.Extensive experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, ISE, and other security technologies.In-depth knowledge of wireless networking technologies, including Cisco WLAN controllers and access points.Technical Skills:
Expertise in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies.Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.Proficient in wireless network design, deployment, and troubleshooting.Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Cisco Prime, SolarWinds).Familiarity with cloud networking solutions and SD-WAN is a plus.Soft Skills:
