Greet and prepare dental patientsAssist dentists during procedures and maintain instruments and suppliesPerform basic and some moderately complex dental proceduresAssisting in handing instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devicesSterilize and disinfect instruments and equipmentPrepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.Recording patients health historiesTaking and developing x-rays and preparing dental compoundsTaking pouring and trimming dental impressions, and seating temporary restorations.
Qualifications:REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:
Active Dental Assistant CertificateBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
or
American Red Cross requiredPREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:Experience as Dental Assistant, minimum of one (1) yearProficiency with EMR systemBilingual English/Spanish language skills are a definite plus
