The Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring increasing levels of customer and HDG team member satisfaction while improving the overall efficiency of operations and achieving the financial and non-financial goals set forth by the leadership team. The Operations Coordinator will have different areas of focus depending on the department they work in.GeneralResolve customer issues with teamExecute job site and/or product inspections and resolve any problems quickly, providing feedback to team members as neededDevelop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients.Participate in hiring and training new team members in accordance with HDG purpose, values, and visionMotivate, coach, and mentor team members, help create and hold accountable to achieving goals, monitor moralePromote high standards for customer serviceEnforce company policies and proceduresSupply staff uniformsDevelop and maintain production goals and labor projections based on company budgetsTake a proactive role in helping formulate future visions and goals for the organizationActive membership on the leadership teamDrive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectivesAssist managing director with additional projects and add insight to any potential decisions being made that may affect the company and its employeesCreate and maintain SOP documentsWork with AR resolving payment issuesFollow up with AR on billingOperationsEnsure that the day to day operations of the landscape services department are effectively and efficiently coordinated within the appropriate frameworkEnsure the day to day floral deliveries are effectively and efficiently coordinated within the appropriate frameworkPlan and schedule work crews for interior and exterior landscape installations, participating in those installations as necessaryPlan and schedule materials for landscape services and display installationsPlan and coordinate special services including pesticide applications and pruning, participating in those installations as necessaryPlan efficient technician routes, keeping them updated as changes occurPlan and execute purchasing and scheduling of repetitive interior landscape material rotationsPull, prep, clean, and stage materials and supplies for the next day’s work new installationsTag plant material for replacementsMaintenance of warehouse plants, schedule maintenance of exterior yard plants, and entrance displaysParticipate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost efficiencyCover maintenance technician routes when necessaryAssist in Floral department when neededOrganize and plan space for reduction and/or new facilitiesHelp in other departments as neededFacilityOpen and close building each dayReceive, check in, and organize all incoming shipmentsOrganize and maintain upkeep of warehouse including storage of holiday product, display pieces, plants, containers, supplies, and toolsSupervise warehouse safety and cleanliness, participating as necessarySchedule facility needs including light bulbs, repairs, services, and coordinating repairs that require landlord’s work or approvalSupervise organization of garage area and loading dock area, coordinating with neighbor as neededSupervise vehicle maintenance including safety; coordinating preventative and repair services; keeping clean and stockedOversee trash pick-ups and coordinate extra services as neededPerform general renovations to facility as needed including painting and carpentry projectsPart III: Qualifications

Must be motivated and knowledgeable of landscape industry plants and materials and have an appropriate business demeanor to meet clients and assess their needsExcellent interpersonal and negotiating skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalMust possess strong organizational skills, prepare schedules, estimates, and purchasing plansAbility to work well under pressureAbility to work autonomouslyAbility to make sound business and financial decisionsKnowledge of Microsoft Office programsMay need to be available to work some nights and weekendsPart IV: Education and Experience

Higher education in business or operations field preferredLandscape operations experience, minimum 5 years preferredLeadership experience of a B2B company, preferredPart V: Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
