Horticultural Technicians make up the front line of our customer-facing team and have the most direct influence on the care of our plant designs and the quality of service we provide to our clients.We are creating NEW environments where people THRIVE daily, and our installations department oversees the build-up, delivery and initial IMPACT of new environment designs.Operations Managers oversee the horticultural teams quality and efficiency of service, training, inventory, routing and scheduling of customer care. OM’s are responsible for local facilities and vehicles to ensure a professional environment.ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

DESIGN & SALES

AE’s are responsible for the overall success and development of our relationships with our customers. 1ESSENTIAL DUTIESExterior Horticultural Service TechnicianThe Horticultural Service Technician is responsible for maintaining exterior landscaped accounts assigned to their care on a structured schedule and within an allotted time frame. The technician maintains landscapes by using accepted horticultural techniques. Regular servicing includes:Watering, fertilizing and applying chemicals to all plants as necessary.Perform regular landscape maintenance by mowing lawns, trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, sidewalks and buildings and blowing of sidewalks and hardscapes.Weeding, thinning and cleaning landscape beds by hand or with appropriate tools and equipment.Inspect plants for insects, disease, physical and mechanical damage and identifying replacements needed in a timely manner.Maintaining and refreshing, when necessary, staging and top dressing of containerized plants and landscaped beds.Safely operates company vehicles, mowers, and power tools and grounds keeping equipment.Ensure maintenance equipment is operating safely and returned clean to shop at end of each work day.Perform routing and preventative maintenance and cleaning of all tools.

Vehicle liability insurance and a valid drivers license are to be in place at all times. Mileage compensation will be provided.

Essential Functions of the JobMust be able to lift 10 lb. water buckets and/or load and unload 40-50 lb. water machines and landscape equipment throughout the day. Must be able to climb ladders and have good dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to use scissors, pruners, hand saws, hoses and other tools. Must be able to apply leaf cleaners and insecticides using hand-held pump sprayers. Must have a satisfactory safe driving record. Must be able to professionally communicate with clients and have a neat and clean appearance.

This is strenuous work requiring good vision, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and the ability to work a 10 hour day in varying greenhouse and/or office conditions.

General Administrative Responsibilities

Daily call-in at the start and completion of the work day.Attendance at regular training sessions.Proper documentation of work orders, service records and route cards.Timely requests for replacement plants and full knowledge of replacement budgets.Timely communication to supervisor regarding account problems or concerns.Friendly, professional communication with client contact.Proper maintenance and safe use of company tools, equipment and vehicles.
