To keep-up with our growing and evolving business needs, we need smart and talented individuals to join on our crew to help us to drive the good life!Overview:We are seeking candidates for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer on our Analytics team to assist in development of our data Lakehouse architecture and support the execution of our overall analytics strategy. This role will partner with our Director of Cloud Data Engineering to deliver our overall solution design, delivery, and support capability by dividing up the collective responsibilities under the direction of our Vice President of Data & Analytics. This role will report to our Vice President of Data & Analytics and work closely with our data scientists, BI architect, and application source system experts.We currently have a Microsoft Azure cloud solution utilizing Databricks for our Lakehouse architecture. We use Azure Data Factory, Databricks notebooks, and Azure logic apps for data pipelines and orchestration, and serve analytics via Power BI.You will:Design, develop, and maintain the data Lakehouse platform and data pipelines, ensuring they meet business requirements, industry best practices, and performance expectations.Leverage Microsoft Azure Data Platform services such as Azure data Factory, Azure Databricks, Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Store, APIs, Azure SQL Database for data movement across our medallion architecture solution.Utilize Azure Repos and Azure Pipelines in Azure DevOps to manage codebase and ensure seamless collaboration and code promotion across environments.Work with source system subject matter experts, business users, and Analytics team members to understand requirements and work through solution designs to deliver desired outcomes.Ability to adapt to changing requirements and collaborate with business stakeholders to determine proper prioritization.Support creation and maintenance of data flow diagrams, source to target mappings, and other required documentation for overall analytics program.Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Data Engineering, Microsoft Azure Data Platform, and Databricks.Mentor developers and power users by providing technical guidance when needed.What you bring:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting applications in an enterprise environment.Minimum three years of experience using Azure cloud computing technologies.Minimum three years of hands-on experience using Databricks, ingesting data using pipelines, and loading delta tables.Experience with Apache Spark, Python, and T-SQL.Experience working in a Data Lake environment handling structured and unstructured data.Experience working with APIs for data ingestion and integration.Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Attention to detail with the ability to produce reliable, effective solutions.Excellent communication skills.Possessing a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environment.Every-day will feel this good because:We have a fun entrepreneurial culture filled with truly “good” peopleWe have flexible working hours to accommodate your personal lifeWe have multiple company outings as we believe spending time with the crew outside of work is part of the good lifeWe offer a generous employee discount so you can rep our lifestyle on-and-off the boatWe offer a competitive salary package, 401-K, commuter benefits, and paid-family leaveWe’ll invest in your career.
