ApplyJob Summary: The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources department and assists with various HR functions to ensure smooth operations. The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting employee benefits programs within the organization, handling tasks related to recruitment, employee records management, benefits administration, onboarding, and general HR inquiries. The HR Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining HR processes and supporting the overall HR team.

Responsibilities Include:Benefits Administration Support:Research and respond to employee inquiries including PTO.Respond to basic benefit questions/issues.Enrollment processes such as tracking of eligibility and employment status change notifications.Collaborate with benefits supervisor to ensure accurate benefits administration.Provide support during the open enrollment process.ACA administration includes running monthly ACA reports to identify new hires and variable hour employees working over 30 hours.Unemployment Claims and Records Management:Processes unemployment claims, coordinates hearings and appeals.Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history, and termination information.Date Entry: Input and maintain employee data in the HR & Payroll system accurately and in a timely manner such as;New hires, rehires, terminations, and LOA's.Updates HR records accordingly to Ensure all data is accurate in the payroll system including verifying offer letters and motor vehicle records for drivers.Participate in basic payroll processing including position and rate changes.General HR Support:Provide general administrative support to HR department with various HR initiatives, projects, and tasks.Prepare periodic HR procedure reminders.Send employee waivers and packets as needed.Coordinate HR announcements such as service awards, recognition, and life events.Verification of employment requests.Respond to general HR inquiries from employees and redirect complex inquiries to appropriate HR personnel.
