Swing Forklift Operator: Monday-Friday - 11PM

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the movement of product into, within and out of our production facility. This includes receiving (product inspection and put-away), production staging (product retrieval and relocation within our plant), and shipping (product staging, trailer inspection, and trailer loading). Candidates for this position must be able to maintain accurate and appropriate inventory records and documentation. They must also be able to operate and drive a forklift.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*** Compile daily open orders* Schedule and staging helper* Complete schedule board for outbound trucks* Review production and report issues to crew to adjust for the days shipping* Inspect trailers and confirm that a truck inspection report has been completed* Fill out all paperwork as related to the shipment such as:+ Pick sheets+ Open orders+ Customs documents+ Transfer reports+ Receiving records+ Issue Quality Seal+ Daily forklift inspections* Enter shipment information into our systems and print Bills of Lading* Enter PRO #s on all LTL shipments* Set up daily transfers* Assign staging of all LTLs, UPS, FedEx and test orders* Report and update Customer Service and shipping crew throughout the day regarding logistics and order issues such as:+ Truck arrivals+ Truck rejections+ Order changes+ Additional loads+ Inventory discrepancies* Advise maintenance and management of needed repairs as noted* Participate in month-end inventory and make the inventory list available to all loaders* Train new employees on paperwork and proper freight inbound and outbound procedures.* Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Safety Guidelines**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS*** High School Diploma or equivalent* Must be able to read, write, and speak English* Ability to work with others in a team environment* Ability to meet the Physical Demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodations* Ability to meet the requirements of forklift certifications**PHYSICAL DEMANDS*** Climbing stairs and ladders* Lifting up to 50 lbs up to 72" in height* Lifting up to 100 lbs in total weight* Bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, gripping, and standing for long periods of time* Good vision (20/15 corrected or better) to perform visual product inspections* Good sense of hearing, smell, and taste.**WORK CONDITIONS*** Exposure to allergens such as grain and/or dust* Varying temperatures* Exposure to cleaning odors as well as insect sprays*Norther Gold Foods, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
