This position is Tuesday - Friday, 2:30PM - 1:00AM.
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the movement of product into, within and out of our production facility. Candidates for this position must be able to maintain accurate and appropriate inventory records and documentation. They must also be able to operate and drive a forklift.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSCompile daily open ordersSchedule and staging helperComplete schedule board for outbound trucksReview production and report issues to crew to adjust for the days shippingInspect trailers and confirm that a truck inspection report has been completedFill out all paperwork as related to the shipmentEnter shipment information into our systems and print Bills of LadingAdvise maintenance and management of needed repairs as notedParticipate in month-end inventoryFollow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Safety GuidelinesESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to read, write, and speak EnglishAbility to work with others in a team environmentAbility to meet the requirements of forklift certificationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Climbing stairs and laddersLifting up to 50 lbs up to 72" in heightLifting up to 100 lbs in total weightBending, squatting, pushing, pulling, gripping, and standing for long periods of timeGood vision (20/15 corrected or better) to perform visual product inspectionsGood sense of hearing, smell, and taste.WORK CONDITIONS
Exposure to allergens such as grain and/or dustVarying temperaturesExposure to cleaning odors as well as insect sprays
