**Warehouse Associate**CAROUSEL_PARAGRAPH* Houston, Texas** Share Job**** Job Description****Position Summary**The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and maintaining inventory accuracy within a warehouse environment. Key activities include cycle counting inventory, performing system transactions for inbound material receipts, and material transfers to other departments. The warehouse is co-located with our compound manufacturing facility. The Warehouse Associate role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is part of the Empower Supply Chain team.**Duties and Responsibilities*** This position works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, Purchasing Manager, and Site Materials Manager for inventory and warehouse processes, cycle counts and inventory accuracy to ensure the adequate management inventory* Performs inventory management duties to include receiving, product put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements* Receive and confirm the accuracy and condition of the ordered product/material* Documents all receipts, secures packing slips, CoA, and related documentation to match to original purchase order* Verify receipt of items by comparing items received with items ordered using established system reporting tools; helps resolve shipment errors and/or pricing concerns with purchasing team* Review and prioritize internal customer requirements, pulls, delivers, and records inventory transactions for all material transfers* Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse, and coordinates inventory transfers with related departments* Monitors physical inventory levels, stock-outs, and open order quantities scheduled for delivery for work planning* Recognizes and resolves quantity discrepancies, with full root cause analysis/resolution* Assists with the communication, workload, problem resolution, and interfaces with other departments to ensure timely completion of critical daily/weekly tasks* Utilizes basic systems/ processes to support various inventory and chemical management systems* Follows well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, Standard Operating Procedures & Work Instructions* Maintains a safe and effective storage area by organizing floor space; good housekeeping, and adheres to storage design principles* Keeps equipment in good working condition by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshoots breakdowns; schedules and completes preventive maintenance; calls for repairs as required* Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures* Updates professional job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities* Performs other duties as assigned by management**Knowledge and Skills*** Must have a working knowledge of warehouse operations and an understanding of material requirements to support Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Accounting Practices* Proficient in computer skills (Office 365), ERP Oracle experience highly encouraged* Knowledge of safety requirements and industry guidelines* Knowledge of Pharmaceuticals/ current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)* Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough* Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy* Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills* Solid planning and organization skills* Capacity to work with multiple company managers* Ability to reprioritize activities daily if needed* Ability to lift and move inventory items of up to 50 lbs.* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude* High integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company information* Must be team orientated and be flexible to cross-train and provide coverage in multiple areas**Experience and Qualifications*** 4+ years work experience in a warehouse environment that includes shipping/receiving, and inventory control experience* High school diploma or GED* Current forklift license, or the ability to obtain one**Benefits*** Health/Dental/Vision* Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Accounts (HSA)* 401(k) with company matching* Paid Vacation (10 days)* Paid Holidays (8 days)
