SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Charlotte, North Carolina

This Is What You'll Do:Provides tier one and a limited amount of tier two support to end-users for IT, and Business Application Systems issuesAttempt to resolve reported issues, dispatch external resources, and/or escalates problems that exceed their expertiseUse defined troubleshooting techniques to quickly isolate problems, but may need assistance or escalation to resolve the problemSupports and maintains desktops, laptops, peripherals and software for Corporate and remote users. This includes, but is not limited to: installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading equipment to ensure optimal performanceProvides application of approved additions, changes, and deletions of user accounts, passwords, email, and the application or revocation of security permissionsProvides IT operations support, which may include: collecting and reporting performance data, outage data, review of error logs and backup logs, and other monitoring as assignedThis Is Who You Are:

Proficiency in internetworking, TCP/IP, routing/switching, wireless networks, VPNs, network diagnostics, and troubleshootingUnderstanding of ITIL foundation principlesDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications Suite.Ability to acquire an understanding of the needs and restrictions of a FDA, GxP environmentOn-call support that may involve night or weekend coverageDemonstrated knowledge of PC hardware and network connectivity.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications Suite.A+/Network+ certifications and/or secondary degree in Computer Science or related areas is preferred.Do Satisfying Work.
