What You'll Do:This position is responsible for being at the heart of LGE Community Credit Union's financial operations, while leading a team dedicated to excellence in all facets of finance. The Vice President, Finance will make creative yet calculated decisions that will optimize the return on LGE's financial assets, and create innovative ways to invest for the future while limiting volatility and material surprises. This position will be a servant visionary leader who excels in powerful communication, and has a knack for empathetically connecting to all people across the organization. The Vice President, Finance ultimate success will be derived from the ability to influence all financial decisions and products, while passionately maintaining a balance sheet composition to optimize Credit Union performance.

Essential Functions:As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President, Finance will manage the Company's deposit products and account types/services including: I nvestments and Cash Positions, Savings / Checking Accounts, Courtesy Pay , IRAs / HSAs / ESAs, Money Markets, CDs , Deceased / Estate / Conservator / Trust / Custodial Accounts , Branch Cash ManagementServe as a strategic partner to collaboratively drive profitable growth through analysis, maintain investment accounting, influencing decisions based on risk assessments, pricing, member profitability, and cost controlActively manage Credit Union investments and cash positions to optimize LGE's financial positionLead financial planning and analysis, financial performance optimization, profitability models, financial forecasts, ROI analysis, and the monthly GL close processEnsure appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding Credit Union's financials and operationsLead the the annual budget process supported by financial forecasts, Credit Union performance, and executive approvalCoordinate Pricing Committee functions with all LGE internal departmentsCollaborate with the Lending & Retail Departments to effectively maintain product pricing based on industry trends and relevant dataCoach and develop each employee to their highest potential by identifying their strengths and areas for improvement to meet strategic objectivesInspire employees to operate in an environment of enthusiasm without fear of failureGuide team members through a strategy/goal setting process for their performance and growth, while operating in a culture of recognitionEngages, motivates, and leads a team while using a continuous improvement methodologyPlan, develop, and implement effective finance policies and procedures that align with current regulations, legal requirements, and industry trendsEstablish and maintain healthy business relations with vendors, outside auditors, regulators, and professional trade groupsMaintain current knowledge of industry standards, trends, emerging technologies, and environmental issues/changes, while determining their impact on the Credit UnionMonitor succession planning while leading hiring efforts with HR partnership to attract industry leading talent for assigned departmentsDevelop short and long term goals and objectives for the assigned departments. Ensure that plans, goals, and policies are consistent with the established Credit Union strategyMaintain current knowledge of trends, emerging technologies, and issues/changes, and determine their impact on the Credit UnionAssist with compiling internal/external records analyses to ensure that reports are in compliance with GAAP and industry regulationsAssist with the preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to ensure filings are accurate and timelyMaintain familiarity with all policies, procedures and processes which have been established in order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable federal regulations. The regulations include but are not limited to the Privacy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg. CC and Patriot ActWho you are:Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldRequired: 7+ years of high level Finance experience and supervisionPreferred: Experience with Jack Henry Profit Star, Workday, Bloomberg TerminalPreferred: MBA in related fieldPreferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)Preferred: Series 66 or Series 7 LicenseUnderstanding of financial regulations and reporting requirementsHighly competent and experienced in leading collaborative decision making teamsOutstanding presentation, written and verbal communication, engagement and interpersonal skillsAbility to influence and lead without organizational authorityGrowth mindset - continually seeks external new trends and innovation with an emphasis on being an early adopter
