Job Summary

The jobholder maintains master data within the corporate supply chain team. The jobholder works cross-functionally to ensure master data is entered and maintained accurately. This role requires a high attention to detail with a desire and capability to collaborate across different levels and roles within the organization. The jobholder ensures the integrity of the master data and the processes to support the data quality as well as troubleshoot data issues. Additionally, an ability to develop in depth business knowledge and industry best practices is required for this role.

Duties And Responsibilities

As primary point of contact executes master data creations and maintenance in accordance with established standard operation procedure, templates/mapping documents, service level objectives.Upholds master data standards by conducting integrity checks and validating, normalizing, cleansing data, and routinely auditing to ensure adherence to technical, corporate, and business rules, naming conventions, abbreviations, etc.Functions as a master data knowledge resource by helping the business understand master data and the data workflow tools used to request adds/changes.Works with Sr. Analyst to understand rules and data setup for new requirements due to system enhancements, process improvements, and/or business rule changes.Provides support for testing and implementation as needed.Creates/maintains standard operating procedures, user request forms, and other documentation to promote data consistency.Provides cross-training/shares knowledge with teammates to build skills across the master data team.Continuously improves knowledge of master data to better understand how data elements are used both technically and by the business.Maintain professional, timely and effective communication with all parties.Provide timely and accurate information to incoming master data requests.Work with cross-functional teams on projects that relate to master data.Cross-train to support the reporting analyst for vacation coverage.Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements and demands.Work with cross-functional partners to proactively troubleshoot issues related to master data, identify root cause and implement resolution.Improve the quality and accuracy of master data by participating in routine audits and data cleansing activities.Primary point of contact for the creation and maintenance of master data.Understand the master data internal matrix, business flows, SLA’s, etc.Guide business users through procedures and documentation on how to provide pertinent information to deliver complete, accurate, and timely master data response.Process master data change requests and maintain documentation accurately and efficiently.Conduct integrity checks to ensure all master data requests contain the appropriate supporting documentation which comply with corporate requirements before they are implemented into the system.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-3 years related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Previous experience in a customer focused environment, preferably in a similar role in a B2B or B2C environment.Basic knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, AS400, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook.Strong data entry skills.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Able to form, foster, and maintain strong, positive, business relationships across multiple units and sites. Demonstrate confidence and the ability to interact at all levels within the organization.Able to work independently as well as across functional or matrix team structure.Intermediate analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good grammar, voice and diction.Strong organizational and administrative skills.An effective team player.A strong desire for continuous learning and a desire to grow professionally.Critical thinking ability.Effective time management and prioritization skill.
