Position Notes:

This is a backfill position for the product owner in the Wealth Management Group. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming temp-to-hire depending on performance and available FTE openings. This person would act as laison between the team and the business area. This position is hybrid, there is not a specific schedule but will depend on the needs of the team.

Job Summary:

As the Product Owner you will lead product vision and delivery with Agile teams focused on business value, the channel partner and associate experience, and tools to serve business functions across the Wealth Management Group (WMG) platform and solutions. The teams will be empowered and accountable to drive specific business and technology outcomes such as executing business strategy, increasing business operational efficiency, retiring legacy systems and aligning tactical decisions with strategic architectural principles.

This Product Owner position is being hired for two of three WMG Agile teams and will be responsible for driving business value while balancing the support and maintenance of a large platform of tools. Business value includes but is not limited to field experience improvement initiatives, support of strategic partner tools, and operational efficiency improvements for financial professionals and staff within ***'s affiliated distribution system. The platform includes Back Office processing, Field Facing production reporting and productivity tools, and 3rd party integrations that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Client's affiliated distribution system.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

Creates compelling product vision, develops and executes product roadmap with a focus on measurable outcomes, tracks and regularly shares progress with stakeholders and team.Authors user stories and provides context for the product vision, product strategy, and requirements.Grooms backlog and ensures that stories are ready for development.Defines KPIs, monitors and reports on business and customer metrics/outcomes for the product.Collaborates with internal business lines and Enterprise Technology to elicit, analyze and understand needs, constraints, risk and alignment with organizational strategy and priorities.Collaborates with the team, Scrum Master and stakeholders to employ Agile methods, processes, tools and metrics to deliver value which includes ongoing product backlog refinement, product roadmap and release planning.Engages and collaborates with team to create and manage Agile artifacts (e.g. Product Roadmap, Backlog, Release Plan) and information needed for prioritization decision-making and regularly assesses features and costs to determine whether and when to proceed. Responsible for accepting product deliverables.QualificationsStrategic thinker, analytical and results driven.Leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, guide the creation of a self-organizing team and be assertive with business priorities and opposing viewpoints while adhering to Agile concepts and principles.Working knowledge of Agile practices. Understands the fundamentals of iterative development, incremental delivery, backlog management, burn down metrics, velocity and task definition.Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills to connect and engage team, facilitate discussion, advocate for team and negotiate with business/corporate areas, mentor/coach team members, and resolve conflict.Solid analytical skills, creative problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.Ability to work with minimal direction, flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules, handle multiple issues simultaneously, and to manage stressful situations.Strong knowledge of technical concepts, architectural principles to drive scalable solutions.
