At Regions, the Business Analyst serves as an intermediary between the team and the assigned line of business.Primary Responsibilitieso Advocates for the business clients in all phases of the complex solution development lifecycle for each of the critical stages, including initiation, analysis, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation follow upo Performs complex analysis and works closely with the business clients to identify core business issues to map out possible solutionso Develops the business case for action, defining the need, the method, and the benefits of proposed solutions
o Undertakes complex analysis to develop the detailed requirements of the solution to satisfy the business needo Works closely with the development team to refine the solution design, methods, and outcomeso Monitors progress to ensure that the emerging solution meets the demands of the requirement documento Resolves conflicts arising due to any technical deviations from the agreed requirementso Works closely with the testing team, using the requirements document as a critical guide, to ensure that issues are identified and fully resolved prior to roll outo Evaluates how users are working with the solution during the implementation phase and ensures modifications are made, where necessaryo Keeps abreast of best practices, resources, and trendso May work on assignments in multiple business or technical areaso May train and assist junior staffThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirementso Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or related fieldo 5 years of experience in Business/Systems analysis or related fieldPreferences
Experience working on UI/UX teams or a deep understanding of user interfaces and user experienceo Master of Business Administration (MBA) or closely relatedSkills and Competencieso Ability to learn additional systems as neededo Ability to research, analyze data, and derive factso Ability to work in a team environment when applicableo Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlineso Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)o Strong project management skillso Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillso Strong work ethic and self-motivation
