Job DescriptionYour Role

The Data Analyst within the Enterprise Risk function will lead and deliver data analysis and insights in support of execution of Enterprise Risk activities and projects as defined by the Enterprise Risk Intelligence leadership team. This role will identify and document requirements, acquire, transform, and enrich data, design use cases, analyze data, and deliver high quality results to assess and improve risk management posture, regulatory compliance, and the control environment.

You will be responsible for:

Acquiring, transforming, and enriching data to deliver high quality results and insights supporting Enterprise Risk activities

Designing, building, testing, and maintaining data analysis supporting individual tasks and projects

Maintaining programming code, software packages, and data stores to supporting ongoing analytics activities

Supporting business partners, consumers’ understanding of data products and general data literacy, including training on the use of data products

Exercising judgment in determining application of data analytics for business processes, including the identification and location of data sources

Developing supporting staff by coaching and providing guidance to Data Analysts

Performing other duties and special projects as assigned by Risk Intelligence Management and other leaders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit

Actively contributing and support an innovation culture across Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Risk departments and risk and control awareness throughout the organization.

Keeping Manager and departmental leadership informed of activities

The experience you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Decision Science, Statistics, Accounting, or Finance preferred. Other business or technology related degrees considered depending upon relevant experience

Master of Science or Business Administration (MBA) degree a plus

Professional data science, analytics, business intelligence, visualization, and/or development designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, CAP, CBIP or other product specific certificates) or actively pursuing the completion of such designation preferred

Other certifications considered depending on domain and relevant experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, risk management, business intelligence, or data management; previous experience in programming will be considered.

Experience within the financial services sector a plus

Consulting, Big 4, or client-facing experience a plus

Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify, design, and deliver data-driven solutions based on high level objectives or problem statements and/or detailed requirements. Thoroughly identify and investigate issues and determine the appropriate course of action

Excellent with data extraction, transformation, and load processes (ETL), data interrogation using structured query language (SQL), and database management

Excellent with data analytics and visualization, including proficiency with using business intelligence or analytics software such as MS PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, Alteryx, KNIME, and Excel. Front-end development using RShiny, Streamlit, or React JavaScript libraries a plus.

Familiarity with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools such as ServiceNow, Archer, etc. a plus

Experience with cloud-based data services such as Snowflake, AWS Aurora, Redshift, and Sagemaker a plus

Experience in coding, preferably programming languages such as R, VBA, and Python a plus

Self-starter and motivated; must be able to work without frequent direct supervision

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent project management and administrative skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)

Results-oriented and comfortable as an individual contributor on certain assignments

Ability to handle confidential information and communicate clearly with individuals at a wide range of levels on sensitive matters

Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse, cross-functional, and international environment

Adaptable and comfortable with changing environment

Demonstrates high professional ethics
