Job Summary
As a Federal NOTAM System (FNS) Technical Specialist, you will perform a gap analysis of the FNS first level documentation and provide recommendations and new documentation for it, including technical instruction books, notices, handbook and other technical directives.
Responsibilities
Provide expertise in first level maintenance documentation requirements analysis and development
Track and audit documentation redlines
Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities
Develop and manage system engineering artifacts; system requirements artifacts; system testing artifacts; required product baseline artifacts
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required and Ten (10) years of related experience including at least five (5) years of NAS experience
Associate’s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of four (4) years of experience
Technical Proficiencies
Technical understanding of the maintenance of NAS systems
Experience in developing NAS technical documentation
Experience with NAS second level engineering
Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
Experience with system testing (desired)
This position requires work to be performed at the William J Hughes Technical Center and may require travel to airport locations around the USA when scheduling dictates or at management discretion.
