IT Solution Architect for Stryker Corporation to develop architectural designs for integrated systems within and across platforms throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes. Partner with Business Analysts and Technical Analysts to understand the overall business need, define requirements, and create high-level architectural specifications. Ensure architecture feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms. Develop architectural design and models that will support Stryker's current and future business needs. Verify detailed technical documents, validate configuration within the assigned applications, and ensure solutions are delivered based on the technical design strategy. Lead solution development and implementation for new systems and enhancements and participate in defining technical standards. Responsible for all architectural design aspects and maintain knowledge of new technologies. Responsible for all technical design, prototypes/mock-ups, development, testing, and delivery of solutions for release cycles. Guide and mentor other Solution Architects, Solution Leads, and Solution Analysts. Identify opportunities to improve system process flow, performance, and technical efficiencies. Recommend and provide holistic solutions that integrate the existing technical standards with the business needs and processes. Responsible for selecting the correct technology platform for implementing an architected solution. Manage and coordinate external suppliers and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables, agreed upon timelines, and metrics. Serve as domain expert in all aspects of architecture, design, and application development. Develop software deployment strategies to ensure reliability and scalability. Assesses technological risks that could jeopardize the growth and/or operations of the organization, including make recommendations regarding application retirement. Provides consultation on complex projects and considered to be the top-level technology specialist. Write technical design specifications, including architectural concepts and artifacts. Develop and build robust integration with Infrastructure, Security, Governance, and Service Delivery. Focus on financial aspects of projects, including delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities, and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eight (8) years of experience supporting SAP development and implementations or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience supporting SAP development and implementations. Specific skills/other requirements - Demonstrated Expertise (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated experience analyzing overall business needs, defining requirements, and creating high-level architectural specifications that will support current and future business needs; Demonstrated experience configuring SAP and conducting SAP ABAP code reviews and debugging within with the sales and distribution space; Demonstrated experience managing external SAP implementation partners to drive design, build, test, and deployment activities to ensure they meet contracted deliverables; Demonstrated experience writing and reviewing technical documentation such as functional design specifications and unit test plans; and Demonstrated experience leading scalable solution development, implementation for new systems, enhancements, system stabilization, and participating in defining technical standards.
