BSEt, a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), an Alaska Native Corporation, is currently recruiting for the position of Network Administrator. This position is located in San Diego, CA, and is a full time, on-site position. This position will report directly to the government Project Lead for daily operations. TDX was created under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 to provide economic well-being for the indigenous Aleut people who resided in the village of St. Paul, Alaska at the time of the act's passage by Congress as well as their descendants. JOB SUMMARY:
The Network Administrator shall manage taskings and report directly to the government Project Lead for daily operations. The Contractor shall support the Navy Cyber Program effort and perform one or more of the following duties. Network Administrator will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, securing, and maintenance of network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls. Network Administrator will lead network administration of development, testing, production environments. Network Administrator will lead the review and improvement of network configuration automations. Network Administrator will be responsible for network documentation to include diagrams, A&A artifacts, and system design documents. Network Administrator will be responsible for converting written install guides for network devices into repeatable automation routines. Network Administrator will configure, maintain, and sustain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment/configuration of network devices. Network Administrator will provide technical support of network devices in both on prem and cloud environments. Network Administrator will assist with any Engineering Change Requests (ECR) related to network changes or additions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as Lead Network Administrator / Engineer on the Navy Cyber Program.Responsible for managing all network, switch, router, and firewall configurations.Design networking for Development, Test, and Production Navy networks.Lead the Navy Cyber Program through technology refresh of all Navy network equipment.Design and manage the Navy Cyber Network equipment monitoring infrastructure.Review the Navy Cyber Program port and protocol environments to design Navy firewall rules.Design and maintain the Navy Cyber network change management process.Regularly interface with NCDOC to assist in debugging of network connectivity.COMPETENCIES:
Familiarity with network protocols, switches, routers, and firewalls.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to the task lead and lab manager.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
CompTIA Security+ certification.IAT2 certification.Minimum of four (4) years of systems-level engineering experience.BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance; prefer a Top-Secret clearance.This level is intended to coincide with DoD 8570.01M IAT/IAM/IASAE Level II and the Contractor must comply with the associated qualification and certification requirements.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.Microsoft Office, including MS Project and MS Visio.Demonstrated experience in Cisco networking, including architecture and CLI programming.
