Position Summary
We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer who will be responsible for the implementation and operations of global IT systems. The key objective of this position is to work with a team to deliver reliable, high-performance, secure and cost-effective IT infrastructure throughout the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct proactive management of server systems to ensure maximum availability, performance and reliability.
Support the implementation of Active Directory and necessary synchronization with hybrid cloud
Administer both Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating Systems at a high-level understanding of the LAMP stack
Participate in off hours on call support rotation
Provide second and third level support of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory
Ensuring network and business continuity through the consistency and maintainability of existing operational platform, including servers (both physical and virtual), networking and telecommunications.
Identification and resolution of network, hardware and software related failures and issues.
Work with IT and other Senior Management to develop strategies and plans to enhance services and improve systems effectiveness.
Participate with IT Director in regular security audits or internal systems and public facing sites
Root cause analysis, managing technology issues and leading appropriate remedial actions.
Documenting existing and new processes, IT policies, procedures, network and system diagrams.
Assistance with coordinating upgrades and updates to newer technologies, determining impact and best implementation practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
**
Required **
3+ years of experience in an IT Systems Engineer type of position
3+ years of supporting both Windows and Linux
Proficient in Windows Desktop and server platform; Mac support is a plus
Experience with Active Directory/Group Policy & SQL Server
Ability to problem solve and implement solutions quickly
Proven ability to maintain high level of dependability
Passionate about working with people to solve their technical issues
Strong ability to multitask and customer service mentality
Eager to learn, be taught and be resourceful
Excellent communication skills

Preferred **
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
AWS Knowledge would be a plus
Experience in migrating from on prem datacenter to AWS
Ability to build scripts with variety of tools such as cron, php, dos, etc for automation
