Job Description: Description: The Senior Business Intelligence Specialist leads complex projects and is a subject matter expert in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Integration, ETL, Relational Database Systems, SQL, SAP Web Intelligence, SAP Xcelcius, Epic Radar Dashboards, Microsoft Power BI and Stored Procedures including acquiring and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the Epic Clarity Database and Cogito Data Warehouse. This role is responsible for combining Hospital and ambulatory clinical and operational knowledge with information technology experience to lead highly complex business intelligence and dashboards request for our executives. Responsible for leading team members in developing business cases, gathering requirements, specifications, designing and developing solutions, testing, validation, configurations, implementation plans and overall management of project related activities for business intelligence solutions and dashboard for hospital and ambulatory executives. Typical Duties: Leads and independently analyzes and completes complex business intelligence data, report and dashboard requests and provides support for assigned applications and systems by performing workflow assessments, capturing business needs, and analyzing systems to determine functional requirements while mentoring other analysts. Leads and guides team on complex projects including designing and developing business intelligence reports and dashboard solutions using SQL, stored procedures, SAP Webi, SAP Xcelcius, Microsoft Power BI, Radar Dashboard and SAP Lumira. Performs complex SQL and TSQL programing code changes related to upgrades and vendor related fixes and notifications for Epic Clarity reports and Epic Cogito Data Warehouse. Leads the development of enterprise-wide KPIs and delivers data analytics and Business Intelligence solutions including methods to measure them. Leads the development of enterprise architecture recommendations for components relating to the data and analytics space; maintains BI tools & technology roadmaps & strategic vision. Collaborates with senior leadership and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded and presented to drive strategic business value. Mentors and guides team members and the business of the capabilities of Business Intelligence; Considered an expert in this field. Leads as a Subject matter expert or PM on complex data projects to design and architect solutions, guides the development of test cases and scripts, manages project resources and ensures projects meet business and IT objectives. Owns the Enterprise Data Governance process, structure and methodologies collaborating with key business owners to drive enterprise decisions. Owns and maintains BI policy, procedure and standards with IT leadership. Leads complex system configuration changes related to Clarity database, ETL and Cogito Data warehouse upgrades and vendor related fixes and notifications. In-depth understanding of Epic EMR workflows for hospital and ambulatory setting delivering accurate reports and solutions within the context of new and existing workflows and applications. Reviews and ensures final product for accuracy and completeness meeting management expectations. Plans and leads Reporting Infrastructure, ETL, and leverages BI Tools to develop complex data solutions. (Dashboards, SSIS, Data Marts, Universes and Cubes). Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree from a 4 year College or University or equivalent 6 plus years of IT strong relational database SQL/T-SQL reporting experience Preferred Education and Experience: 8 plus years of related experience in a healthcare environment Clarity Data Model Certification. Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: Must obtain current proficiency or certification in assigned data model(s). (i.e.) Epic certification in appropriate module(s) required within specified time frame following class completion and analyst who support Epic modules must maintain certification on current version of Epic.
