Project Background
:
The Financial Services Modernization (FSM) program will address the need to select a new financial system service provider to implement improved and integrated financial system capabilities in support of its financial, procurement, and asset management operations to replace the current financial system (Momentum).
Role Responsibilities :
The data lead position will assist the government in fulfilling its data migration responsibilities; this includes but is not limited to:
Solid experience in developing data cleansing strategies, action plans, reconciliation plans and scriptsDeveloping data management planGood experience in writing SQL * Loader, SQL, PLSQLFunctional experience in SAP S/4Hana Federal Financials core modules including AP/PO/GL/AR/PRDetermining the validity of the values of the data elementsReviewing and validating data relationshipsCoordinating with data owners to validate cleansed data (e.g., reconciling transaction details to summary records such as commitments and obligations to General Ledger (GL) balances)Determining data migration requirementsDefining roles and responsibilities for the data migration activitiesReviewing and providing comments and suggestions on the data management plan, data migration plan, checklist, timeline, and conversion report deliveredDocumenting migration activity timelines for mock conversions and production deploymentDeveloping a data migration checklist and sign-off process to ensure completion of planned activitiesMapping the data in the format provided in conversion templates. This includes mapping the current account codes to the future account codes and Project/Organization/Expenditure Type/Task (POET)Assisting with determining data migration security controlsDeveloping unit and end-to-end integration migration test plans (including testing for data extraction, transformation, data loading, and data validation)Solid experience with data transformation and data load testingValidating data of multiple mock conversions and the full migration coordinating with unit and end-to-end integration testing to ensure the flow of data from the source applications to the target applications is accurateDocumenting the end-to-end data migration test results and lessons learned reportRequired Skills :
MA/MS/BA/BS degree and 10 years of experience in supporting large data migration/conversion for ERP applicationsMust be a pro-active, value-add contributor to all data management meetings especially with the client, but also with the Teracore data teamMust function as a trusted-advisor to the client ensuring that best practices are observed and issues are detected and mitigated by the Teracore teamMust have excellent communications skills, both oral and written, and be expert at developing presentations, reports, and data management plans.Must function as a leader of the data migration team.Data Migration Planning to include:
Creating and using data conversion templatesData source gap analysis
Development and execution of SQL-based scripts to support data analysis
Gathering requirementsReviewing technical specificationsEnsuring data securityPerforming data extract and cleansing; data transform and loadPrepare data for and assist in the execution of mock data conversionsPrepare for and assist with User Acceptance Testing of the migrated data
end-to-end conversion test plans, executing test cases, documenting test results, tracing and resolving test defects, etc.
Experienced in supporting Federal IT business application development and migration using a requirements driven lifecycle process (Specifically focused on the data architecture)
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
