POSITION OVERVIEW
The Systems Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and administering ThreatLocker’s computer server and network infrastructure. The primary goal of the Systems Engineer is to maintain and monitor the company’s infrastructure hardware, software, and other related systems. The ideal candidate will need a strong understanding of Windows Server 2019, Hyper V Server, SQL Server and network infrastructure and network hardware.
JOB SCOPE
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Maintains and administers computer networks and related computing environments including system software, applicants, software, hardware, and configurations
Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required
Protects data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves hardware, software, and other network and system problems
Monitors system and network performance using PRTG.
Perform SQL queries to maintain optimal SQL performance
Designs, configures, and tests networks, systems, and operating system software.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and network hardware
Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
Ability to create accurate network/system diagrams and documentation for design and planning infrastructure systems
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
Oral and written communication skills
Extensive experience with Hyper-V, and SQL Server 2017
Administration experience of Windows 2019 server including Active directory, Group policy and DNS
WORKING CONDITIONS
