Job DescriptionMaximus, Inc. is seeking a Scrum Master with agile methodology experience to join our team in support of a federal contract. The ideal candidate must be a US Citizen who has worked in a SAFe Agile Release Train. They will have the ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team. A willingness to learn and stay abreast of industry trends is also required. What You’ll Do:

As a Scrum Master, you are a servant leader and team facilitator. You will lead and manage all agile/scrum activities and ceremonies, define the metrics to be used to track Sprint progress and process improvements, lead agile teams and manage team capacity and velocity. This position also represents the team at the SAFe Agile Release Train level to report status of initiatives and features to leadership and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:• Guide and coach the development teams on Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality functionality to our customers• Lead scrum ceremonies and meetings (DSU, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, program sprint reviews and program increment planning), coordinating tasks with the development teams, supporting the Product Owner, and making sure the sprint operates smoothly• Assist the Product Owner and development team with defining and achieving sprint goals• Assist team members with evaluating their capacity and aligning sprint goals based on that capacity• Coach and train agile teams to manage progress and hold the development teams accountable to their commitments• Understand and communicate blockers and risks to successful delivery; escalating these through the agreed governance structure for mitigation• Remove impediments to meeting sprint goals• Collaborate with the product owner to ensure each sprint is successful in delivering the committed business value• Documenting, coordinating, and managing cross-team dependencies to keep projects on track• Provides appropriate progress tools, information radiators, and effective reporting to provide transparency on team’s progress

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass a background investigation• Certified Scrum Master• Three (3) years of experience focusing on business architectureanalysis and UX/UI Design• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivated, team player• Must be self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and highly organized• Working knowledge of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management• Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)• Demonstrated experience in agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.• Experience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development frameworks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work as part of a team throughout the software development life cycle- Evolve current best practices and adopt cutting edge best practices for IT delivery as needed- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Designers, Engineers and Analysts to implement enhancements or new applications- Support clients in managing system roadmaps, project plans, and product and release backlogs- Facilitate/coordinate business architecture working group sessions, daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings- Identify the workload and deliverables for each release- Estimate and plan each release- Managing the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology- Leverage behavior driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD) approaches- Adopt various Agile process including but not limited to: SCRUM, Kanban, and Lean Software Development, and conform processes to these approaches- Participate on a team of full stack engineers and automation testers- Estimate level of effort to meet acceptance criteria- Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams, and mentor more junior developersRequired Skills:

- Shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience focusing on business architecture analysis and UX/UI Design- Shall have a minimum of one (1) year experience in building business process models, writing acceptance criteria, and designing user interfaces for a production system- Proven experience in performing agile tasks such as backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.Desired Skills:

- Shall be a certified Scrum Master- Demonstrated experience in agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.- Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, including ability to pivot and respond to and integrate information from various sources- Experience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development frameworks- Possess strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to interact professional with a diverse range of team members- Ability to absorb and synthesize information from various outlets and develop a cohesive and nuanced communications for ultimate presentation for the client- Strong Executive presence- Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills- Familiar with common development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practices.- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline- Solid understanding of Git/Github- Experience in Confluence, JIRA, and React Storybooks- Proven ability to work across multiple functional teams in the creation of an application development process- Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients- Experience supporting sales and business development- Experience with financial managementYears of Experience:
