FCDC- Technical Specialist / TS3

JOB DESCRIPTION Essential Skills and Responsibilities•Minimum of 5 years of experience in development/programming mainframe or AS400 technology projects using COBOL, VSAM, DB2, SQL or CICS languages•Experience presenting recommendations to clients•Experience with issue resolution processes for application production problems•Ability to articulate ideas, and problem/solution/business value descriptions that can be understood by a broad audience•On-Call support Other Experience that would be helpful•Working on an AS400 (iSeries) platform•Any exposure to other languages such as CL, RPG, HTML, XML, Java•Work in Government•Any experience with court systems•Legal knowledge WHAT WOULD I WORK ON? You would be working on custom applications that support 5 courts within Franklin County and the surrounding area. It was originally a mainframe application that has been ported to an AS/400 (iSeries) platform. There is a project currently underway to replace it, but we expect these applications will remain in production for the next few years during. Most the data is in DB2 but there are remnants of the mainframe source in a lot of the code. You would be reviewing and changing COBOL code in most cases, in response to change requests from users or break/fix incidents. You would additionally have exposure to iSeries and other parts of the court system including E-Filing of cases and documents. IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT REMOTE WORK: We support hybrid remote work for this position. Candidates must live within a 1-hour drive of Columbus and work in our office at least 1 day per week, though additional in-office days will be required at times due to collaboration needs, project efforts, or customer meetings Indotronix is an Equal Opportunity Employer
