We seek a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Citrix Engineer who will be responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the Fi-Tek CVAD and DaaS infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is well versed in Active Directory, ESX Server Virtualization and server hardware technologies and be familiar with other types of virtualization technologies such as VDI and Application virtualization. This role will also develop detailed documentation for business areas, management, and strategic planning and implementation. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and resolving issues, monitoring and tracking, auditing, consulting with other departments to resolve systems issues, and analyzing, recommending, and implementing system changes.
Experience/Qualification • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or mathematics • 5-7+ years of Citrix Admin/Support experience • 5-7+ years of experience deploying, automating, and supporting Enterprise Citrix environments • Understanding of and experience with best practices with regards to performance, compliance and security. • Experience in several of the following areas: Scripting, Powershell, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Certificates (PKI), Application configurations • Experience with ESX Server Virtualization, Server hardware technologies, and a familiarity with other types of virtualization technologies such as VDI and Application virtualization • Proven ability to collaborate with infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain the environment, retention, and high availability • Experience with XenApp • Knowledge and understanding of Citrix Provisioning Services, Citrix Storefront/Web Interface, Universal Profile Management • Knowledge of Citrix Cloud Netscaler ADM & Client a plus • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Project Management and Documentation skills. • Service oriented, positive, committed, and enthusiastic team player. • Demonstrate ability and or experience to manage Citrix firm with 3000+ users in diverse heterogeneous environments. • Must have experience with Citrix specific type issues with print issues, drive map issues, reconnect system issues, powershell command scripting, reporting on latency and or performance, monitoring the health of Citrix servers, harmonizing where possible settings by client group and or overall firm to minimize the difference to make client deployment uniform across the environments, experience with automatically disconnecting idle remote browser sessions, troubleshooting and compute environments inclding security deployed in client environements that might impact end user experience, experience with Citrix roaming profiles and Citrix profile troubleshooting and resets • Previous experience in financially regulated environments (SEC, OCC, Client, Client, SOC 1 and SOC 2, etc.) preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
Citrix Solution Design and Implementation
Provide solutions to business problems using CVAD and DaaS architectures
Publishes applications using the Management Console
Design Citrix solutions involving CVAD and DaaS technology
Interface with networking personnel to implement, support and troubleshoot CVAD and DaaS perimeter architectures.
Installing and configuring Storefront
Maintain up-to-date documentation of all phases of Citrix implementation
Stay current with emerging technologies including XENServer, VMWare, VDI and application virtualization
Builds Citrix Servers in both physical and virtual environments
Support and Maintain Citrix Environment
Monitor the Citrix environment using Director and other native, including 3rd party utilities.
Works with other IT departments to troubleshoot application issues
Resolves performance issues with a proven methodology
Resolves ICA client/VDA issues
Performs Software and HW upgrades
Maintains OS/3rd Party apps Patch Levels
Provides Server Support and Implementation
Performs server OS builds
Troubleshoot Windows Server and Desktop Operating systems and Active Directory issues, DNS, DHCP, and IP Issues.
