Position: Lead AWS DevOps Engineer Location: Houston, TX or Owensboro, KY Duration: 6 Months Travel Travel will be required between Houston, TX and Owensboro, KY. At least one week or more a quarter. Job Responsibilities: Deliver cloud solutions using AWS and other public cloud services and as a key member of IT Continuous Delivery Services team to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services to cloud Educate business and technology stakeholders on value propositions of cloud and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the technology community Oversee architecting and design of complex cloud solutions for the organizational business units Serve as cloud SME for the business and technology stakeholders Work closely with development team to create/maintain an automated CI/CD software pipeline Deliver end-to-end deployment automation, monitoring and infrastructure management in a cloud environment Partner with various functional teams across the business and IT departments to support strategic enterprise vision and design for cloud consumption Support Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Information Technology related audits Partner with engineering delivery teams to research, design and implement the appropriate technology needed to support the application portfolio Partnership with the application architecture, network, and security engineering team is critical to ensure that the infrastructure architectural principals support the requirements and needs to automate Ensure compliance of architectural and engineering policies, standards and procedures n educator to peer staff employees on DevOps processes and help drive increased adoption of these processes throughout the IT organization Formal Education and Certification: College or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems or related field of study, and/or 10 years equivalent work experience. Certifications applicable to the position are desirable Knowledge and Experience - Required 7 years of in-depth, hands-on experience in architecture and designing highly complex, distributed applications using AWS micro services 7 years experience with delivery of cloud resources via automation and DevOps, CI/CD Extensive experience with Bash scripting, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, JSON, YAML, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, CloudFormation, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, and CircleCI Experience with cloud networking, security, and compliance aspects bility to learn cloud native services and do the proof of concepts as part of the solutions Developing templates or scripts to automate everyday infrastructure or operations functions Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available environment Experience leading/managing a DevOps team Experience with Agile Software Development methods
