Job Overview:
As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and security of the customer's computer systems, servers, and software. Your responsibilities include ensuring proper configuration documentation, managing changes, and supporting ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
Duties: Configuration Documentation:
Maintain accurate records related to system configurations. Register and authorize all changes to configurations. Ensure compliance with configuration management policies.
Change Management:
Handle change order processing for systems, hardware, software, and related equipment. Collaborate with development and maintenance teams to implement changes. Review and recommend improvements to existing configuration management processes.
Operational Support:
Fulfill Configuration Management Service Requests. Perform operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies. Assist in the setup of computer software.
Training and Communication:
Organize and conduct training sessions on software usage. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding configuration changes. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree
in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science). Minimum of 1 year
of experience in configuration management. Familiarity with ITIL processes and configuration management concepts. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
