Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager understands the QA and Testing needs of the Institute. This resource will bring mature QA, DevOps and Automation experience to the Agile Development team. The Quality Assurance Manager will develop, maintain, and integrate Test Automation to be executed as part of the CI/CD pipeline. This resource will be responsible for the administration of all QA related technologies, including Regression Testing, System Testing, Static Code Analysis, Code Vulnerability Scanning, Test Data Management, Performance Engineering, Defect Tracking and UAT. The QA Specialist will need to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
The Quality Assurance Manager is hands-on, and will be challenged to design and implement continuous improvement throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. The candidate will be part of the Production Excellence team and need to have a solid understanding of Devops and Agile practices. This resource will work closely with the DevOps team in the rollout and administration of CI/CD technologies and processes.Essential FunctionsDesign, set up, and configure automated testing frameworkIntegration of automated testing tools into the CI/CD Tool ChainWork closely with the Development Lead to define QA and Testing Standards for internal and Third-Party applicationsWork with Lines of Business and Business Analyst to establish appropriate user acceptance test cases/suites, based on requirementsWork with Development team on the development of Automated Testing Scripts and PoliciesAdministration, maintenance, and configuration of Automated testing tools, scripts and PoliciesImplement regression testing and smoke testing into the Build and Deployment processesImplement and maintain Test Data Management processes, standards, and automationMonitor and updates Security Vulnerability Testing and associated policiesWork with Development teams to implement and maintain Static Code Analysis and Unit Testing processes and technologiesDesign Performance Engineering processes and implement Performance Testing frameworkWork with Development team to implement QA processes and validation in as part of the Release Automation processesOngoing maintenance of Defect Tracking processes and TechnologiesCoordinate Test environment maintenance with the DevOps/environment management leadParticipate in Test environment issue resolution working closely with Development and DevOpsParticipate in Continuous Improvement practicesManage, train, and mentor Quality AnalystDefining and tracking Quality metrics for Application Development efforts

Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent7+ years background in IT (preferably in Quality Assurance, Agile Development, and DevOps)
