Job Description
For the Fluid Utilities Department, provide technical support for project design, installation, and start-up. Provide technical expertise to all facilities of the company for Utilities disciplines and mechanical disciplines within area of expertise.Makes good, fact based decisions through a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment. Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions and knows what to measure and how to measure it. Learns quickly when facing new problems and is open to change. Is able to break down work into process steps while continuing to monitor progress, and results; designs feedback loops into work. Understands continuous improvement methodology and incorporates it into all areas of work. Consistently is a top performer who steadfastly pushes self and others for results.Travels to investigate new technologies and leads factory acceptance tests. Lead Multi-Facility efforts regarding Fluid Utilities and travels as required, representing the company as a Utilities technical resource.Leads by example and respects the people at WDI and the company culture. Is a leader who can motivate many kinds of direct reports and team members and is someone people like working for and with.Coordinates facility or multi-facility projects or events for the utilities department (e.g. annual inspections) and coordinate the application of advanced technology across multiple facilities.Designs piping layouts and/or equipment layouts (including P&ID's, plan views, and functional specifications). Also updates engineering documentation for the department.Serve as Team Member on capital projects and serves as project manager on Fluid Utilities projects. Duties will include leading project installations and start-ups, with construction management, completing all associated documentation on time and in a detailed and professional manner.Using a strong knowledge base of utilities related technology, develops and drives concepts for improved system safety, maintainability, reliability, and efficiency.Troubleshoots & provides solutions on project and system performance issues. Directly repairs or coordinates the repair of system issues. Collaborates with other areas of the company and/or equipment vendors or consultants to solve complex performance issues. Mentors technicians in troubleshooting methodologies. Develops internal contacts across the company.Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Advanced training in ammonia refrigeration and fluid utilities systems and RETA CIRO and Boiler Operator certifications are highly preferred.Six years of experience as fluid utility and refrigeration systems maintenance within a food manufacturing environmentKnowledge - Knowledgeable in Oracle Project Management, MS Outlook, MS Office, MS Excel, AutoCAD.Skills - Project Management. Effective communication skills both written and verbal.Abilities - Able to put together project estimates, and able to manage multifunctional groups.May manage multi-functional project teams of up to 10 peopleManages portions (up to $500,000) of larger capital projects.
