Azure Cloud Engineer (LOCATION - Kansas City,MO)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing infrastructure operations and support during the transitionOverseeing cloud operations and designing infrastructure for new workloadsContinuously improving and maturing cloud servicesSKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

In-depth understanding of various cloud computing models, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Public, Private, and Hybrid cloudsProven experience in deploying and managing cloud-based solutions on AzureStrong understanding of compute, network, server, storage, and databaseProficiency in deploying and managing Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure Sentinel, Azure Firewall, Defender for Cloud, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Azure Log AnalyticsExpertise in Microsoft Entra ID configuration, including identity management, access control policies, and integration with on-premises Active Directory environmentsHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform/Terraform Cloud) for automating the deployment and management of Azure resourcesStrong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform/HCL) for automation tasks and the development of custom scripts to streamline Azure infrastructure management and deployment processesStrong understanding of network security principles and experience implementing network security controls within Azure environments, including firewall configurations, network segmentation, and secure connectivity optionsExperience configuring centralized logging and monitoring solutions, including Azure Monitor and Azure Sentinel, to provide visibility into the Azure environment, facilitate real-time monitoring, and enable threat detection and responseFamiliarity with virtualization technologies and best practices, particularly in the context of Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure deployment and managementAbility to troubleshoot complex issues within Azure environments, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and securityExcellent documentation skills with the ability to clearly document architecture designs, implementation plans, and operational proceduresExperience with Windows Server operating system administrationExperience with Active Directory and related directory servicesFamiliarity with ITIL and service management best practices and leading platforms (such as ServiceNow)Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology solutionsDemonstrates knowledge of technology project risks and strategies for managing and mitigating themDemonstrates strong written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to all audiences, ranging from non-technical people to executive-level technical decision-makersPassionate about technology and eager to grow skills and increase responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

3+ years of Azure experienceInformation Technology related degreeUS CitizenshipMicrosoft Azure Architect Certification
