Terrestris, LLC has immediate openings for Incident Command Subject Matter Experts (IC SME) to support training and capacity building in the SOUTHCOM AOR. Classes will be 7-10 days in length and may include weekdays and weekends. Terrestris provides collaborative support to host country civilian, military and first responders. Our team is building Host nation capacity to respond to disasters and emergencies of various kinds.

Duties

Update and deliver training to host country partners on proper setup and operations of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC)Assist with exercise planning and developmentAll training will be delivered in Spanish, for up to thirty-five (35) personnelTopics include the operations and implementation of the EOC communications systems and equipment, instruction on operations of the communications, and emergency management systems for the key roles and functions in the EOC, detailed instruction on the use and maintenance of the communications equipment and management software at the EOC.Develop, deliver and lead a hands-on tabletop training exercise scenario that simulates an actual emergency response at the EOC.Qualifications

Successful completion of the NQS PTB for the NIMS Type 4 Incident Commander, or equivalent AHJ documentationSatisfactory performance as Task Force Leader or Strike Team Leader, or supervisory experience equivalent to a Task Force Leader or Strike Team LeaderSuccessful completion of the NQS PTB for the NIMS Type 3 Incident Commander, or equivalent AHJ documentationSuccessful performance as a NIMS Type 4 Incident CommanderRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Fluent written and spoken English and SpanishUnderstanding of first response agencies and their capabilitiesUnderstanding of a CST and CERFP capabilitiesPlanning and decision-making capabilitiesUnderstanding of Municipal Government & internal departments and capabilitiesEmergency Management expertiseGood interpersonal skillsAbility to speak and articulate to Command level personnelWriting and Computer skillsHave knowledge of how state emergency response plans and regional response plans are implemented and understand the importance of decontamination proceduresDesired:
