Spectrum is seeking highly qualified Secret VMWARE Administrator to support our proposal for a new program located in Norfolk, VA.
General Experience:
The ideal candidate should have eight (8) years of experience in server virtualization and administration. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a T5 minimum background investigation.
Specialized Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience administering VMware products, including vSAN, vCenter, and vSphere 6.x. Knowledge of advanced features like vMotion, High Availability, REST APIs, and Integrated Containers. Expertise in UNIX-based and Windows Server Operating Systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DHCP, and DNS. Required OS/CE certification.
The candidate should have the ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) with Government civilian, military personnel, and other contractors at all levels of staff and management to ensure customer satisfaction and requirements are fully met. They should also meet operational requirements, including having the necessary certifications, and meet the minimum credential requirements according to DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, DoD 8140.01.
Requirements
Under this Task, the contractor shall:
Perform the planning and coordination of installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of a complex virtualized environment consisting of Microsoft Windows Server and RHEL Server Operating Systems.Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and application software.Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.Manage systems resources, including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability, and implement security procedures and tools.Develop and document system administration standard operating procedures.Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems within the virtualized environment.Ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.Maintain systems configuration.Manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements. Also, ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of system administration services.
