About the job TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST I
Proficiency required in the following:
Basic hardware and software troubleshooting Knowledge of Windows, Mac, and iOS operating systems Installing and maintaining software applications Managing and maintaining computer network systems including Virtual and Local Area Networks Supporting enterprise applications used in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and electronic mail, cloud storage and other related applications. Effective communication Computer skills as required for the position
Bilingual skills. JOB PROGRESSION LADDER: The Technology Support Specialist I & II jobs are designated as one job for the purpose of job progression when the employee has achieved an evaluation indicating that his/her job performance has met or exceeded the expectations of the job. The Technology Support Specialist I shall be promoted to Technology Support Specialist II after two (2) years of experience in the department/school.
SIGNIFICANT CONTACTS-frequency, contact, purpose Collaborates with customers at the assigned location and with district-level technology support staff to ensure an effective, stable and consistent digital environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Light work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School Board.
