This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of technology projects by gathering and documenting requirements, creating and managing project plans, and performing change management activities to encourage the acceptance and adoption of new technology at ADS. This position will report to the IT Delivery Manager and support projects involving all of ADS' existing and future business applications. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as hands-on IT and project management experience. The IT business analyst will interact with employees at all levels in ADS' sales and operations divisions, ADS customers and suppliers, as well as the technical personnel that maintain ADS systems, including Salesforce.com, Oracle, Microsoft Exchange and others. The IT business analyst will actively participate in data governance efforts and process improvement initiatives throughout the company. Interpersonal skills are essential in gaining cooperation from various stakeholders. This person must possess excellent communication, analytics and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Supports application development efforts, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Develops documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Develops project scopes, completes analysis of alternatives, conducts technology solution market research, and evaluates vendor proposals. Manages user acceptance testing by coordinating with users from affected areas of the organization, developing and writing test cases, and documenting the test results and recommendations. Provides input for training and works closely with the Instructional Design Manager to ensure Salesforce training is available and up-to-date for all employees. Actively participates in deployment planning, release management, and change management activities. Actively participates in data quality and improvement efforts throughout the company. Assist in the communication of IT department news, updates, long-term strategy, guidelines, principles and standards to members of project teams. Technical/Business Skills: Bachelor's degree required; concentration in IT or business preferred Years Related Experience: 3-5 years, minimum 2 years managing IT projects Must obtain Salesforce.com Administrator certification within one year of hire date Superior analytical and problem-solving skills Patient, customer-service oriented, able to juggle lots of small tasks at once Highly self-motivated and strive for perfection Understands importance of data quality Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills Experience with Salesforce.com preferred ADS believes that a diverse work environment leads to bigger thinking and more creative solutions to our customers problems and we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
