Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Apply the system engineering process to lead a team and/or participate in design, integration, test and delivery of the system.What you will experience:Technologies that are top-notch, and often top-secretA team of bold thinkers committed to exploring the art of the possibleFrequent opportunities to gain new knowledge and be a part of its discoverWhat you bring to the table:A Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; Agile experience preferredThe ability to apply RF and communications principles to define the architecture and lead the development of complex systemsA deep understanding of satellite ground systems utilizing communications signal processing and DSP algorithmsDemonstrated successes in applying the system engineering rigor & process for product specification, design, development, integration, test and deliveryExperience in helping to shape and lead all aspects of complex ground systems to include:RF front-end equipment: ability understand customer requirements and the implications of those that drive implementation complexitySignal processing subsystems: ability to help define the architecture, perform trades, design for reuse and take advantage of other reuse opportunitiesNetwork & Infrastructure: ability to understand or help define the network and computer infrastructure necessary to host a ground system
Ability to meet with a customer, understand their needs, develop a solution and document that in a whitepaper or business development presentationWhat distinguishes you from others:Experience with helping to design a SIGINT or SATCOM special collection system, to include these efforts: performance modeling and simulation; hardware and software trade studies, and technical evaluation of subcontractorsWorking knowledge of the architectures and designs of satellite ground systemsFamiliarity with satellite ground systems and communications signal processingFamiliarity with commercial SATCOM networks and protocolsAwareness of emerging SATCOM networks and market trendsAn active TS/SCI clearance#CJ1#CBCompany OverviewGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS)
