There is a secretary on duty from 7am to 10 pm daily and from 7am to 7pm on the weekends, census permitting. PCTs are available all three shifts and ratio fluctuates with census and shifts. There is no free charge nurse on 3a, however, there is a tremendous amount of teamwork on this floor where staff are very helpful to one another. This floor is known for having excellent patient satisfaction scores.Type of equipment: Each patient is monitored on telemetry boxes, with the monitor in the nurse's station to view all patients on the unit. Dynamaps with neurons that upload vital signs directly to Meditech. Glucometers also upload results directly to Meditech. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. iPhones are tied into call system for direct patient access to available staff.Documentation system: Meditech using EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)Scheduling requirements: All nursing shift are twelve hours from 7 to 7; every other weekend. Holiday requirements.Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with primary focus on pulling to similar units.
