JOB DESCRIPTION
Department : Medical ICU
Shift Timings:
Night Shift 19:00- 7:30 Hours
Roles & ResponsibilitiesProviding nursing care to acutely or critically ill patients with an assigned unit or clinic;Implementing medical care plans;Directing and supervising the patient care provided by nursing personnel assigned to the unit;Maintaining standard unit activities in the absence of the Head Nurse; andPerforming other related duties as assigned/required.QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)National Institutes of Health (NIH)Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) CertificationCertified Principal Investigator (CPI) CertificationSound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careCompletion of a fully accredited RN programMinimum three years as ICU RNICU RN experience neededActive unencumbered Kansas RN licenseRequirements:
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
