About the role:
UKG is looking for a Software Engineer to join its world-class Payment Services Engineering team. This position is responsible for software development in multi-application, multi-server, and hosted environments. He or she will participate in all facets of software and system development life cycle which includes developing, designing, testing, maintaining testable software or systems according to the needs of the users. It is an opportunity for an initiative-taker who is meticulous, and a customer-focused professionals who will be expected to deliver an efficient and consistent world-class customer experience based on feature requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop innovative solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and securityResearch, design, implement, and manage software programsIdentify areas for modification in existing programs and then develop these modificationsDeveloping quality assurance proceduresMaintaining and upgrading existing systemsParticipate in code reviews and provide quality and reliability-related feedbackTroubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for system-related issues and identifying and resolving problems to maintain best functionalityCollaborate with other developers, UX designers, business users, product owner and product managerMaintaining a can-do-attitude while effectively communicating verbally and written formAdapt to dynamic environments with rapidly changing priorities

Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience with 2-3 years’ experience in DevOpsStrong experience working with continuous integration and continuous deliveryStrong drive to automate everything as well as initiative-taking with continuous improvement mindset and willingness to get the job doneKnowledge of SDLC/STLCGood knowledge of test design techniques and test case reviewsGood experience in SQL server and writing SQL queries
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to manage and balance multiple deliverables concurrently in an environment with shifting prioritiesGood at problem solving with excellent documentation and communication skillsProcess-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-throughExperience testing using various platformsExperience in SaaS & Cloud based application testingFamiliarity with source control systems (GIT, CI/CD)
