About the role:

The Tenancy team is looking for a motivated Lead Software Engineer to help grow the Tenant Management product. This product is a cornerstone of UKG's Human Capital Management (HCM) suite of products and is a data broker for all internal applications.

Duties And Responsibilities

Design, code, and maintain deployment and testing automation, features for our customer facing web application, and support tooling to help improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our softwareWork in a hybrid cloud environment (GCP and OpenStack) to support our business tools and processesEngage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services including, working with tech and test leads on system design, build, deployment, and supportSupport services through activities such as monitoring availability, system health, and incident responseImprove system performance, application delivery and efficiency through process refinement, post-mortem reviews, root cause analysis of system failures and in-depth configuration analysisParticipate in the design & implementation for automated testing to ensure quality and performance is maintained in our productsPartner with technical lead or architect to produce designs for complex features to avoid problems, bottlenecks, and improper use of the productCoordinate with other team members to align and ensure the integrity and quality of the final solutionContribute to shared components used for logging, supportability and resilience within and between servicesWork with development, test and operational teams to define SLA and SLOs for all system components

Qualifications

About you:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience5+ years JAVA OR .NET development experience5+ years experience engaging with software/test engineers on enterprise level software development projects preferred5+ years experience with development of API’s using RESTAdvanced experience with development frameworks such as SpringAdvanced experience with CI/CD processes and tooling such as TeamCity or GitHub Actions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NoSQL database experience such as MongoDBExperience of message brokers such as RabbitMQ or KafkaExperience with Python or Ruby specifically to utilize infrastructure as code tooling like Terraform or configuration managers like Ansible or ChefExperience with Configuring, Deploying, and Maintaining applications in the Cloud such as GCPExperience of Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban or ScrumAbility to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing prioritiesStrong technical writing and communication skillsExperience with Kubernetes or DockerExperience with microservices, and event sourcing architectural patternsExperience with Domain Driven DesignExperience writing automated tests at all levels of testing
