We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the MIDS Program Office Support Team in PMA/W 101. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our systems engineering capabilities, ensuring the success of complex defense projects.
Responsibilities:
Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to support the development, integration, and verification of systems within a DoD program office.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and capture system requirements using industry-standard tools, with a focus on IBM DOORS, ExAMS, and other MBSE tools.
Develop and maintain system architecture models, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) standards.
Conduct analyses to ensure the consistency, traceability, and completeness of system requirements, design, and implementation artifacts.
Facilitate the integration of system components and ensure alignment with overall program objectives.
Provide expertise in the use of MBSE tools, including troubleshooting and providing training to team members as necessary.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure understanding and agreement on system architecture and design decisions.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans.
Participate in reviews, audits, and inspections to verify compliance with established processes and standards.
Qualifications:
Incumbent and familiar with work in the MIDS PMW/A 101 program Office in San Diego.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math/Computer Science. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Model-Based Systems Engineer in a DoD environment.
In-depth knowledge and proficiency in IBM DOORS, ExAMS, and other MBSE tools.
Extensive experience working with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Security Clearance – YES. Active TS/SCI (or ability to obtain one).
