Description

As a passionate and experienced UX Designer with Metric5, you will join an Agile program responsible for the discovery, design, and development of new, mission-critical, high priority applications and processes from the ground up. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our digital products, from ideation and discovery to prototyping and implementation. You will be responsible for creating user-centered designs that are both aesthetically pleasing, functionally effective, and accessible to all users. You are a strong communicator, self-directed, inquisitive, enthusiastic, empathic, and relentless in the pursuit of continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities

Create conceptual models, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas, connecting solutions to user pain points.Collaborate with other UX Designers, UX Researchers, Product Owners, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are aligned with business goals, technical feasibility, and accessibility standards.Present designs to a variety of stakeholder and team audiences, capturing feedback and iterating collaboratively on deliverables.Employ UX design, prototyping and collaboration tools (i.e., Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, InVision, etc.).Own, maintain and contribute to an existing design system used across products.Work with UX Researchers to translate insights into solutions and deliverables such as prototypes, personas, and journey maps.Ensure usability standards and best practices and promote that knowledge to stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications

A portfolio demonstrating 3-5 years of experience in UX design, with a proven track record of creating successful user experiences for large-scale systems.Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field or 5+ years of related work experience.Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.3-5 years working with design system implementation and governance, ensuring consistency and accessibility within and across products and experiences.Strong understanding of accessibility principles and guidelines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills and understanding of nuances in a remote environment.Strong presentation and storytelling skills to effectively communicate design ideas and solutions to different audiences.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of audiences, translating complex information into easy-to-understand language.Expert knowledge of responsive design and mobile UI.Strong self-organization and self-management skills.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to think outside the box about problems and propose creative solutions.

Preferred

Experience working in regulated industries, such as healthcare, finance, or government, understanding compliance requirements and accessibility considerations in these domains.Experience with assisting UX Researchers via different methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.Strong understanding of information architecture and content strategy.Ability to prepare, plan, and (co-)facilitate workshops and working sessions both in-person and remotely.
