Currently is seeking a talented and motivated
Senior Network Engineer
to join our team. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the overall health, functionality, performance, and security of the customer’s network infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN connectivity, network hardware, telephony, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points as well as software defined networks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of Cisco and Juniper IOS, switching/routing protocols, QOS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP etc.Working technical knowledge of network security tools and tacticsExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStays current on the latest networking technologies and trends
Duties to Include but not limited to
:
Design, implement, maintain, and support network infrastructure for the organizationTroubleshoot network performance issues and outagesMaintain and upgrade network hardware, software, firewalls, switches, routers, phones, access pointsImplement network security measures and best practicesConduct capacity planning to meet future network infrastructure needsMaintain network infrastructure documentation and proceduresMonitor network health, availability, and bandwidth utilizationWork on network projects and new initiativesTrain and mentor junior network engineers
Preferred Education and Experience:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related engineering field with minimum in lieu of degree
10+ years of experience as a network engineer with Cisco CCIE
Preferred: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)Preferred: Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE)Preferred: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE)Minimum Required Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Minimum Required Certification: DOD 8570 IAT II Certification (Ex. Sec+, CISSP, GCIH, CYSA+).
