Evolver Federal is seeking a Senior Network Engineer specializing in Cisco hardware to join our team supporting a government customer in Washington DC. In this role, you will be leading the project on redesigning and implementing upgraded network infrastructure.Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure to meet organizational requirements.Recommend updates and changes for the existing core network switch configurations.Lead the team on replacing current network devices across the main campus and remote sites.Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to protect network infrastructure and data.Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline network provisioning, configuration backup, and monitoring.Develop and maintain accurate network documentation and network diagrams.Review existing WAN and LAN designs.Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent with 8 years of Information Technology experience.Experience in designing, configuring, and implementing complex large LAN/WAN networks.Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership and business writing ability.Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.Strong experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on Cisco technologies.Minimum of 5 years of experience with Cisco Switching, Routing, and Security products.Expert knowledge of Cisco Nexus Family Switches and Cisco Cat 9k.Strong routing and switching experience, including L2 Protocols, L3 Protocols (STP, PSTP, BGP, VRF, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN).In-depth understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security.Experience setting up monitoring and backup solutions for network devices and infrastructure.Experience with automation tools for network provisioning and management.Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of Cisco FTD FMC firewalls and solutions.Certifications: CCNP (highly desirable), CCIE (preferred).
