Director, HINT Hardware Management

Provide advanced engineering leader, product roadmap, technical, lifecycle and operational support for all T-Mobile Home Internet gateway platforms TMUS. Responsible for the Home Internet hardware platforms including router/gateway, embedded software, device data collection and hardware configuration system. Responsible for leading business initiatives around the HINT hardware by defining hardware strategy, technical vision, define device roadmaps while introducing new technology and communicating throughout the organization. Responsible for delivering end to end HINT hardware devices.The key focus of this role will be to oversee all technical aspects of the deployment and support of our fiber network supporting electric transmission, distribution, business consumer internet, voice services, corporate IT, security and commercial IT solutions.More specifically, this role will assume the following responsibilities:Lead strategic technology strategy, planning and execution to achieve Home Internet business goals Prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.Lead and manage the appropriate cross functional TMUS enterprise teams to develop, deploy and maintain a technology plan and execute on a roadmap that supports the Emerging Business organizational needs.Develop and communicate business/technology plans to leadership to ensure integration and alignment.Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis for technology spending and initiatives.Define requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders.Approve and prioritize projects as they relate to selection, acquisition, development and installation of systems.Conduct research to remain up to date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations.At least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesHigh School Diploma or GEDT-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. T-Mobile will require proof of vaccination prior to successful applicant’s first day of work, and will consider requests for exemption from this requirement during the offer phase (1) as a reasonable accommodation for medical reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs where the accommodation would not cause T-Mobile undue hardship or pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others, or (2) for other reasons under applicable law.While the quality and accomplishments of a person’s career will be the determining factor, the finalist must have the following requisite qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering15+ years of technical experience with hardware development, operator customer premise equipment and operations.Experience running a consumer premise equipment engineering team preferred.Project management experience leading large projects and technology teams.Experience working with senior leadership developing and deploying consumer premise equipment. Track record of cultivating and developing relationships with key partners - both internal and external stakeholders, and deep understanding of their business and technical goals/challenges.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills and the ability to convey the message to the senior leadership team is required.
