The Adjunct Professor will prepare, conduct and administer one graduate level seminar course in accordance with the provided syllabus as part of the NWC CDE Fleet Seminar Program in the area.This requirement includes: 102 classroom hours, 102 hours course prep and 10 hours of Faculty Development for a total commitment of 214 hours.Requirement includes developing appropriate lesson plans; participating in Faculty Development as required; preparing and delivering lectures; conducting seminar sessions; administrating and grading student written assessments and examinations; submitting students’ mid-term and final grades; preparing and submitting an end-of-course memorandum to include recommended administrative changes, and any suggested changes to course structure and content.Education & Qualifications:

Adjunct Professors must be current in course themes, content and methodology; and must have successfully taught their assigned course within the last three academic years.The required Adjunct Professor qualifications are a combination of academic area of subject matter expertise education, familiarity with the Naval War College (NWC) missions and functions, and experience and competence in teaching the NWC curriculum at the graduate level using the NWC methodology. The following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities specific to these courses are:Ph.D. in Military History, International Relations, National Security Affairs, Strategic Studies, or related field - DesirableMA/MS in Military History, International Relations, National Security Affairs, Strategic Studies, or related field - RequiredJoint Professional Military Education Phase I - Highly DesirableJoint, Naval, or Interagency experience at grade of O-5, or equivalent - Highly Desirable
