The Senior Platform Manager, Imaging Encoder will lead innovation on core technology used in a wide variety of products to deliver best-in-class experiences with Dolby Vision content. Enables individual Dolby encoder products to meet changing market and customer needs. Efficiently capitalizes on product commonalities by developing and supporting a limited number of scalable core technology components.Responsibilities:

Defines platform requirements and longer-term roadmaps, ensuring the needs of internal product owners are met as well as future market needs.Works with engineering to deliver platform capabilities via an agile approach, to adapt to changes in the market or internal environment.Provides thought leadership in the areas of Dolby Vision technology and encoding.Drives cross-functional teams toward common goals by effectively navigating the organization and using thought leadership to influence.Evangelizes platform and core technology, internally and externally.Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, other related technical field or equivalent experience.10+ years of experience in product management (or similar).10+ years of experience with video encoding and streaming.Quickly learns new topics.Collaborates effectively in a globally distributed organization.Is a thought leader with the ability to influence.Clarity of thought and strong written and verbal communication skills.Speaks the language of technologists, business and product people.Curious and up to date on relevant market developments.Prior experience with Dolby Vision is a plus.The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $195,900 - $239,400 plus bonus, equity, and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
