Dolby is seeking a seasoned, Senior Product Manager to lead a newly formed team that is focused on driving product innovation around speakers in the home. As speakers get increasingly smart, there are abundant opportunities for Dolby to enable incredible new experiences to our large ecosystem of partners that build speakers of any kind. Last year, Dolby introduced Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, technology that gives users the freedom to place wireless speakers anywhere in a room, enabling an incredible Dolby Atmos experience without having to place speakers in prescribed (canonical) positions. In addition to location, FlexConnect adjusts for differences in speaker capabilities, allowing “mix and match” scenarios that have been impossible until now. With the massive growth in Dolby Atmos Music, Dolby Atmos isn’t just for movies and TV! There is increasing demand to bring Atmos music experiences everywhere in the house. The person in this role will own the FlexConnect business and product, including strategy, product, licensing programs, pricing and partnerships.

The position reports to the VP of Home Devices and is based at Dolby HQ in San Francisco.

Responsibilities:Take Dolby Atmos FlexConnect launches in 2024 and build a large and thriving business.Support partnership and sales activities to enable our device partners to add Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to their wireless speaker offerings.Develop pricing programs that balance revenue and adoption.Work closely with Marketing and GTM teams to drive the most value from launch moments.Work closely with the sales team to build a robust pipeline, gather feedback for future version and drive to a committed revenue plan.Aggressively identify opportunities for improvement. Establish processes and metrics to measure effectiveness and drive products or operational improvements. Identify synergies across the portfolio to streamline our product offering.Provide vision and market direction input to engineering and technology teams to develop new technologies and products for the FlexConnect ecosystem.Collaborate across the company (development, QA, technologies group, technical publications, sales, sales-ops, marketing, finance, legal, and program management) to ensure the success of your product.Define and build the future of FlexConnectDefine and execute the long-term vision and strategy for the FlexConnect portfolio. Synthesize ideas on strategy, planning and execution of next generation products, building consensus and driving execution.Manage the product roadmaps and specification of requirements while driving execution across the organization and making strategic tradeoffs.Create an environment where great ideas are heard, evaluated and invested in.Define value propositions for future versions across an ecosystem of Silicon providers, OEMs, retailers, and customers.Define and build the broader wireless speaker strategyIdentify new business opportunities for Dolby to deliver new, foundational products to our ecosystem of partners.Iterate and develop the potential solutions and validate leading ideas, developing a product roadmap for wireless speakers.Requirements:

Experience in the consumer electronics industry, preferably with audio products such as smart speakers, portable speakers and/or working with mobile phones.Experience building ecosystems, where technology enables multiple companies to work together and achieve greater success.Curiosity, ability to learn quickly and an eagerness to take on new-to-world projects.Experience leading teams, hiring and developing leaders.History of working collaboratively across organizations and leading individuals who do not report to you.Working knowledge of Dolby’s business model and processes, and how we generate and capture value.Key Personal Attributes for Success in this role:

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
