All JMM eyewear is ethically sourced and produced with the utmost respect for industry partners' environment and wellbeing.Jacques Marie Mage is looking for an experienced Product Development Manager to join our Design Team based out of our corporate office in Los Angeles. The Product Development Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing processes' smooth and efficient operation, from sourcing materials to final product sample delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion production management, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:Key Responsibilities:Oversee the entire sample production process, ensuring timely delivery of production.Collaborate closely with design, product development, and technical design teams to plan and execute production schedules according to business objectives.Source and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely raw materials and components delivery while maintaining quality standards.Monitor and optimize production workflows, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks at various stages of production to maintain exceptional quality standards and minimize defects.Develop and maintain production budgets, closely monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues, coordinating efforts to address challenges and meet production goals.Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in fashion manufacturing, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improve production processes.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Production Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.Proven experience as a Production / Manufacturing Manager within the fashion industry, preferably in high-end products.Strong knowledge of accessory production processes, techniques, and materials, focusing on quality control.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in using production management software and tools to track progress, manage inventory, and analyze production data.Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all production-related activities.
