Moog is looking for a

Test Engineer

to test and qualify aircraft components to ensure that they meet all requirements and specifications. You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to develop and execute test plans to validate the performance of the aircraft components. You will also be responsible for test execution, analyzing data, and creating test reports to document test results. Reporting to a Test Lab Section Head, you will have a 9/80 schedule option and work onsite in Torrance, CA.

As a Test Engineer, you will:Model the highest safety standards within the testing environment.Interface with the customer during program reviews and customer meetings to determine testing requirements and methods.Help define test equipment requirements and review test equipment design.Write test procedures (ATP and QTPs).Generate and manage test schedules.Help with completing TRR tasks and slide prep.Train operators in the testing of the product.Schedule work and assist in directing Test Engineer/Conductors and Technicians.Inspect test setups to ensure both safety and test requirements have been satisfied.Oversee execution of qualification tests.Provide engineering support to technicians.Review test data for validity and help to resolve test issues.Create test report to document test results.Lead the troubleshooting effort to resolve test discrepancies.Improve test methods and processes through automation, computer analysis, and innovative thinking.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace is desirable)Minimum 2+ years of test engineering experienceExperience with technical writingThis job requires a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one; therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

This position requires access to US export-controlled information.

It’d be great if you also had:Experience in the aerospace industryExperience with Dynamics & Vibration, Climatic Simulations, or Mechanical Testing.Experience with test data applications such as NI DIAdem, MATLAB, and ExcelStrong interpersonal skills and professionalism.

Salary range:$80,000-115,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
